Key Partners of EGC

 

At EGC, we are stronger when we do our work in collaboration with other partners.

That’s why we make it a high priority to work closely with many faith-based and community-based organizations, schools and churches. Working collaboratively brings more fruit and keeps us better aligned with what God is doing in the city and around the world than if we were to work on our own. Because ministry networks—like all relationships—are organic, change, and grow, it is difficult to list all of our partners. Still, as a sampling, here are some key partnering organizations we are privileged to know and which you may want to check out:

 

  • Agencía Alpha is a social ministry of Congregation Lion of Judah. Agencía Alpha’s mission is to improve the quality of life of immigrants in Massachusetts by empowering our community members to become leaders, overcome social challenges, and fight against xenophobia. As an immigrant-led, grassroots organization, they work in three areas: community organizing, legalization, & citizenship services.

  • BMA TenPoint, helping churches, ministries, and non-profits work together to engage our communities.

  • Boston Collaborative/Greater Things for Greater Boston

  • Boston Missionary Baptist Church Community Center, assists low-income, underserved and underprivileged individual and their children. They help them complete their education and achieve economic self-sufficiency through empowerment skills, access to affordable housing, child and youth development services, health care programs, and quality job placement. 

  • Boston Partners in Education enhances the academic achievement and nurtures the personal growth of Boston’s public school students by providing them with focused, individualized, in-school volunteer support.

  • Boston Project Ministries engages and equips neighbors, volunteers, and congregations to build strong communities characterized by God’s shalom.

  • Boston Public Schools is committed to transforming the lives of all children through exemplary teaching in a world-class system of innovative, welcoming schools. BPS partners with the community, families, and students to develop in every learner the knowledge, skill, and character to excel in college, career, and life. 

  • Cambridge School Volunteers is an independent non-profit organization supporting the academic and personal success of Cambridge public school children. CSV develops programs that match caring and competent adults with students of all needs and levels.

  • Campus for Urban Ministerial Education (Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary’s Boston campus), providing ministerial training for urban pastors and church leaders in Boston and throughout the U.S.

  • DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative, Boston, providing a 15-month, faith-based leadership development program for urban youth workers.

  • Fellowship of Haitian Evangelical Pastors of New England, works to encourage and strengthen Haitian pastors in New England and to facilitate churches working together to serve the Haitians in this area, in Haiti, and across the Haitian diaspora.

  • Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, developing Christian leaders who are thoughtful, globally aware, spiritually mature and ready for a broad array of ministries.

  • Luis Palau Association, exists to proclaim the gospel, mobilize the church for evangelism, and equip leaders to transform their cities for Christ.

  • Missions Door, assisting local churches and Christ-followers to evangelize, disciple and plant churches among the unreached of our world.
